On November 1, Rev. Dr. Jim Ryan announced his retirement as Council Executive effective May 31, 2013. A national search for his replacement will take place beginning December 1, 2012. Click the link below to read the retirement letter.
The Colorado Compact is an effort to convene and promote a reasonable conversation on immigration in Colorado that could lead to real and lasting federal reform. The Compact brings together leaders and community members of diverse backgrounds and politics who are committed to fostering a more rational and collaborative approach to immigration policy than exists today. We believe that the growing consequences of a broken immigration system must be addressed in a bipartisan effort that considers the principles outlined in this Compact. The Colorado Council of Churches has created a Criminal Justice Reform Task Force to enable the faith community to address these issues. As in all actions of the Council, the initiatives are based on denominationally approved Public Policy Statements.
